REACH Camps are tuition-free CIT Camps developed and paid for by REACH Camp Hemiplegia Foundation. REACH Camps are created by a collaboration between REACH Camp Hemiplegia Foundation and local professional therapy clinics. A REACH Camp is run by professional therapists, and is held once per year for a period of 10 consecutive days for 6 hours per day.

Before the start of camp, each child has a removable cast created for their dominant arm, which is used to constrain that arm and allow them to focus on working with their affected arm and hand. Each child works with OT and PT professionals and students doing fun one-handed activities, including meal-time, when they eat and drink using only their affected arm.

There are not enough CIT Camps to provide for the tens of thousands of HemiChildren in the United States, which is why we are committed to developing new REACH Camps throughout the country.

Every hemiplegic child should be able to go to a CIT Camp, regardless of their family's financial situation. REACH Camps are provided free of charge to all hemiplegic children. Funding for the REACH Camps is provided by REACH Camp Hemiplegia Foundation through donations and corporate sponsors.

REACH Camps are directed by local Occupational Therapy professionals and staffed by local OT and PT professionals and students, along with parent volunteers.

The primary potential costs to hemiplegic children and their families could be travel and lodging expenses, depending on where you live in proximity to the REACH Camp you are attending. We are working to develop as many REACH Camps as possible, so that travel and lodging won't be necessary.
